Villa
We have all 5 bedrooms for the week, with Samantha and Angela sharing one room. The villa will be our home base for pool time, chef meals, Samantha's birthday dinner, and easy nights nearby.
Confirmed
8:20 AM - 11:34 AM
Delta DL1955 nonstop on an Airbus A321neo. Plan for customs, bags, and roughly a 2-2.5 hour transfer from Montego Bay to Treasure Beach.
12:59 PM - 5:59 PM
Delta DL1957 nonstop on an Airbus A321neo. Leave the villa around 7:00-7:30 AM so the airport timing stays comfortable.
Budget
Everyone has the same Delta fare, and we're splitting the villa evenly. Anything optional or still being figured out is listed separately so it's easy to see what's already included.
Villa + Staff Gratuity
$5,061.01 reservation total + $759.15 recommended staff gratuity (15%) = $5,820.16 for the group. The gratuity is paid at the end of the stay.
Delta Main Basic
$268.00 base fare + $197.12 in taxes, government charges, and airport fees. Six matching fares total $2,790.72.
Current Confirmed Shared Trip Cost
$11,435.39 for the group, including the recommended villa staff gratuity, both $235 Jamaica airport-transfer legs, both reserved New York Uber rides, and the prepaid grocery allowance and shopping service. It also includes the paid Appleton Estate tour and lunch, plus the confirmed $260 Tuesday driver. Other activities and personal spending are not included.
Additional Costs
Flight amounts and baggage fees come from Chris's Delta receipt issued July 20, 2026. Baggage waivers may apply based on eligible Delta status or card benefits. The per-person villa number is rounded, so use the group total if anything looks a few cents off. The confirmed shared total is now $1,905.90 per person. This includes the previous $1,862.57 share plus about $43.33 each for Tuesday's driver.

Who's Where
Nobody has to do everything together. Some people can take it slow while others head out for bars, a boat day, or whatever sounds fun.
How We're Doing the Week
Monday, Aug 31 is Samantha's birthday. Since YS Falls is closed Mondays, we're keeping her birthday close to home: beach, pool, chef dinner, chocolate cake, music, and maybe a nearby bar.
Jack Sprat, Jakes, and Dougie's Bar give us plenty of nearby options without turning a night out into a whole road trip.
The Paperwork
The reservation PDF is here whenever anyone needs the villa, check-in, or host details.
The PDF only shows the Airbnb reservation price. The recommended 15% staff gratuity is separate, but Chris already included it in everyone's villa share shown on this page.
Already Covered
Here is the general setup Chris is bringing for the trip. This is not every small item, but it covers the useful shared gear and his main water-day and travel basics.
Starlink Mini, a battery pack, and the USB cable needed for backup internet at the villa or while we are out.
A waterproof Bluetooth speaker for the pool, beach, boat day, and nights at the house.
A large waterproof dry bag and extra waterproof phone pouches for wet outings.
Disposable rain ponchos and a sun hat for boat days, YS Falls, and changing weather.
Sunscreen, insect repellent, bug-bite treatments, and after-sun aloe for the group to use when needed.
Quick-dry shirts, water shoes, and easy pool slides for the villa and excursions.
A travel backpack, compression packing bags, and a toiletry organizer for the week.
No need to duplicate the shared gear. Everyone should still bring their own personal essentials, chargers, and anything they prefer to keep with them.
What the Host Told Us
Sent to Host
Our requested arrival-night menu:
Sent to Host
Our requested birthday dinner:
Bedrooms
Samantha and Angela will share one of the villa's larger rooms.
Groceries
Our full grocery list is now confirmed. The host suggests $250 per person, or $1,500 total, for breakfast and dinner groceries. The separate shopping service is $50 total.
Chris paid the full $1,550 through Airbnb. The villa will provide receipts. We will pay any amount over the allowance, and the villa will return anything left.
Birthday
The chocolate birthday cake was included with the menu sent to the host for Monday night.
Meals
We'll all share the same meal instead of ordering separately. For six people, the host recommends 2 entrees and 2 sides per dinner. We can ask for extra if we want leftovers.
Meal Planning
Kirin confirmed that the villa team can shop for everything at once. We will choose the exact meals and nights after we arrive and talk with Chef Renae.
Nearby
Host mentioned Ki's On Di Beach a few steps from the villa, plus Jack Sprat, Jakes, Gregors, and other Treasure Beach options.
Transportation
All four airport rides total $690.51 for the group, or approximately $115.09 per person. This amount is already included in the current shared trip cost.
New York: The reserved Black SUV to JFK is $116.98. The flight-tracked UberXXL home from JFK is $103.53. Both rides are booked.
Jamaica: Transportation is $235 each way for all six guests, or $470 round trip. Pay the arrival leg at Destiny and the return leg at the airport. Cerrif, also known as DJ Sheriff, will meet us at MBJ with a Destiny sign. His number is +1 (876) 275-7847.
Excursions
Cerrif is confirmed for our Tuesday YS Falls and Appleton Estate day. The $260 cash price covers all six of us and the return to Destiny. Our boat captain is booked for Thursday, September 3. The $60 per person trip leaves from the villa for Pelican Bar and Black River. The host suggests leaving at 10:30 AM after breakfast.
Drinks
Buy the group's liquor at Dufry Arrivals at MBJ before leaving the airport. The store carries Jamaican rum and imported spirits. Keep every receipt.
Jamaica allows each traveler age 18 or older up to 2 liters of alcohol duty-free. That gives our six adults up to 12 liters together, but each person must stay within their own allowance. See the Jamaica Customs passenger allowance.
Do not plan to buy beer at duty-free. First check whether the villa already stocked the beer, soda, juice, water, and mixers we requested. If anything is missing, ask Cerrif for a quick stop at Progressive Foods in Fairview during the drive to Destiny.
We only have carry-on bags. Buy any unopened souvenir bottles at departure duty-free on September 5, after airport security.

People To Know
These are the villa and transportation contacts mentioned by Kirin. Cerrif is the only person whose direct number we currently have.
Airbnb Host
Our main Destiny Villa contact. She coordinates the villa team, groceries, birthday cake, airport transfer, and local arrangements. Chris communicates with her through Airbnb.
Villa Chef
She will prepare our family-style meals. The ingredients are being stocked from the confirmed list, and we will choose the exact daily meals with her after arrival.
Driver · Treasure Tours
Our MBJ airport driver and our confirmed Tuesday excursion driver. He will take all six of us to YS Falls and Appleton Estate, then back to Destiny, for $260 cash. At MBJ, he will meet us with a sign that says Destiny.
Boat Trip
Kirin arranged the captain for our Pelican Bar and Black River trip. The captain's name and direct number have not been provided. The boat will collect us from the villa on Thursday, September 3, for the planned 10:30 AM departure.
The Plan So Far
YS Falls and Appleton Estate are confirmed for Tuesday. Our Thursday boat trip is also booked. Sunday and Saturday are fixed travel days because of our flights. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are still open and can move around.
Be ready outside at Angela's house by 4:20 AM. Our Black SUV leaves at 4:30 AM for JFK Terminal 4. Delta DL1955 departs at 8:20 AM and lands in Montego Bay at 11:34 AM. Then we take our private transfer to Destiny Villa for check-in, pool time, and dinner.
Current idea: a villa birthday day with beach, pool, optional massages, chef dinner, chocolate cake, music, and maybe a nearby bar.
Cerrif will pick up all six of us at Destiny around 8:30 AM. We expect to reach YS Falls around 9:30 AM, leave around noon, and reach Appleton Estate around 12:45–1:00 PM. Our Appleton booking includes lunch and a 2:00 PM rum tour.
Chris must bring the physical card used to pay and a matching photo ID. Cerrif confirmed that the timing works. His $260 cash price includes the full route and our return to Destiny.
Ladies can keep it relaxed with beach, pool, massages, Jakes, or Jack Sprat. Younger group can do boat/fishing/local bars.
The captain will pick us up at the villa for Pelican Bar and Black River. We are booked for Thursday at $60 per person. Plan to leave around 10:30 AM after breakfast.
Keep the final full day relaxed at Destiny and Billy's Bay, with an optional short outing if the group wants one. Finish with a final family-style chef dinner at the villa.
